i sent some cheek swabs into the genographic project about a month ago and got my results back today. here they are. i'm part of a haplogroup R1b. my journey begins in africa about 50,000 years ago, moves through the middle east, into asia and then turns west to europe, where my ancestors spread out and colonized. about 70% of men in southern england are haplogroup R1b. this correlates with my genealogy, which indicates english, french and italian ancestry on my father's side. no surprises.

holy crap, that's cool. I clicked the link and it didn't work, though. can you fix it? I want to know how I can do that, too. With my Heinz 57 background, this should be interesting! Ashkenazi Jew, German, Russian, French, Spanish, Irish, Polish...
If your morph tense kitty photo to aspect ratio of gene map and superimpose one over the other.... coincidence? i don't think so!
wendy... it's fixed.
dennis... that's incredible! thank you for keen analysis.
