"specific, personal truth" : based on one's own real experience, as opposed to idealized, generalized, institutional, religious or imagined beliefs. it ought to be subtle, not black and white. know thyself. see oneself to one's own depth. it's the core message of most religions but, it seems to me, much organized religion pays only lip service to that message and instead promote conformity, exclusivity and sectarianism, which leads to conflict and poor, superficial relationships.
